Plus, why would you write "Private internal presentation" on your own, private internal presentation? lol

Looks like Wednesday 19th October 2011 is the new date for the Nexus Prime unveiling:

This week's CTIA festivities aren't the same since Samsung and Google decided to postpone their new product announcement that was originally scheduled for today, but now we're hearing the Ice Cream Sandwich / Nexus party has already been rescheduled. An inside source tells us the two have moved their plans for the Unpacked event to October 19th in Hong Kong (interested US residents should clear out the evening of Tuesday the 18th, time zones), timed to coincide with the AsiaD: All Things Digital event there next week. Naturally, we'll be in the house, but with not long to go before the potential date, we'd expect to hear something concrete soon.

Has the 2pac fan scene taught you nothing?

Dante. Say his name three times like Candyman....and then he'll appear. Wish we had the shit people made about it. I never saw/heard it.

The Ice Cream Sandwich statue has arrived at the Googleplex.

The Android team have an official twitter now - http://twitter.com/android

Google had their earnings call yesterday and Larry Page said people aren't gonna believe how much awesome new stuff is in ICS. Only a few more days now!

Also rumors that there''ll soon be a music purchasing element to Google Music. Dopeness.

I just gave an invite to my friend who was about to buy a new iPod, now he isn't going to. Google Music ftw

from two days ago

Earlier this year, we launched an
update
to Google Translate for Android with an experimental feature called Conversation Mode, which enables you to you translate speech back and forth between languages. We began with just English and Spanish, but today we’re expanding to 14 languages, adding Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Russian and Turkish.

it's the feature that speaks the translation back to you in the selected language as opposed to simply displaying the text.

Casey, you've gone SGS2? How is life without a keyboard? Im thinking of doing it for the first time since I had a Sidekick 2 for the Nexus Prime...

I wiped my HTC G2, removed the SIM, inserted it into my brand new SGS2. I booted up the SGS2 and started doing stuff.

It felt strange not having a keyboard.

For about 10 minutes. Then after that it was perfectly normal.

The key is using the "Swype" keyboard, where you drag a continuous line to each letter and it recognises the word. It's the fastest input method in the world, faster than a physical keyboard, and I could type FAST on a physical keyboard after having used them for 4 years on all my phones. It'll either come preinstalled on the phone, or you just register for the Swype beta on their site (from the phone) and you can download an installer.

A big screen + Swype keyboard = heaven. You won't have any problems. In fact I think the world record for fastest typed text message was beaten recently, and the new record holder did it using Swype.

I stayed away from touch-only phones for so long because jabbing each letter to type every word always felt lame as fuck to me. But Swype is just insanely good.

My uncle smashed the screen on his X10, and when it came back, they had updated it to Gingerbread (it was on Eclair before). I kinda like some of what Sony Ericsson are doing with their "Timescape" UI - i imagine it would be even better with a higher spec model.
