^Judging by that review this might be the first tablet that is really worth getting, if the price is right. It might be something I'd prefer to a netbook. I'm amazed at how did they fit a 7000mAh battery there in the slimmest tablet around. It's slimmer and lighter than the Ipad2 while having a slightly bigger screen and a powerful dual-core cpu with great GPU yet has a similar battery life. Wow, I like it. A gadget I'd like to have.

I'm still more impressed with the Asus Transformer TBH.

I don't believe you can do serious work on any tablet, just with a touch screen keyboard. That's why even Apple sell a keyboard dock. But their looks fucking retarded:

I played with Asus Transformer and.. It's quite good but frankly apart from the keyboard and Android 3.0 it's not that great.
I think I'd rather have a Samsung 10.1 with a keyboard dock. I don't always need a keyboard anyway and Tab 10.1 is much more stylish, very slim, has amazing battery life and it's just.. better. Also the Asus Transformer is almost unusable outdoors because of terrible glossy display.

Now I might sound lame but I prefer the Ipad 2 screen form factor (4:3) instead of the wide-ish screen of most Android Tablets. 4:3 is more suitable for most things other than movies.

Reading, internet, presentations.. just using it - things I'd do more often than watching movies. Basically I almost don't watch movies on mobile devices.
4:3 on a small screen just looks much better for me, especially in portrait mode since that's how I hold the device 99% of the time. That's something I really noticed while comparing the Ipad 2 to Asus Transformer.

It looks much nicer on the Ipad 2 imho, and in theory it has a smaller screen.

Yeah. It'll sell well because it's pretty cool.

However for me the price is too high. If it was 399$ it would be a more fair price. Still it's cheaper to make than an average netbook but these mainstream tablets are a new thing and companies are willing to take the most out of them right now.

I would hold off, the really epic tablets are coming out in 2-3 months as far as I can see.

Now that Android 3.1 has USB hosting, a proper USB port is now a major requirement for me in a tablet. All the hardware companies are going nuts right now over that, testing all their products cos the possibilities are now endless.

It's a game changer, I can think of dozens of USB peripherals that it would be pretty epic to be able to use on a decent tablet.

It would have to be mini/micro usb. A standard usb would make the tablet too thick. I agree that it'd be awesome to connect a flash drive, phone or a printer to a tablet via usb.

Any info on those epic tablets? They could make the price on Galaxy Tab drop lower, at least.

I would guess it's going to be a bit more than 2-3 months as well. All the major players just released or are just releasing brand new tablets. If anything I'd guess end of the year we see a bit more progress in the tablet market.

Im definitely not an expert on this field but as far as i see it, all i need is the possibility to connect my cellphone, my home cinema system and the TV with the tablet. Only problem i see is the conncetion with TV. The rest works via bluetooth.

^^ seb, you'll probably have to use an application like imediashare to conenct to an internet-enabled tv via a media server unique to your IP. not the best way, but it works.
