my advice is not to read the comments. I usually find myself getting very angry when i do. Most of them fanboys representing all that is wrong with football. Look at the Ireland v Italy news articles. Most of the comment are Italy "fans" from place like Qatar or Australia.

Beasley showed great promise at PSV. He has never lived up to it though. He looks very weak.

they even carry over to the group stages of the WC as far as i know. Ireland has a few on yellow cards as well.

Yeah they carry over to the WC itself. I personally think it's stupid. The WC is a whole new tournament, it's not the qualifications anymore. And if they push so much to see the biggest teams playing at the WC, you are just cutting off more income if a player like Arshavin won't play the first two games again...
