Viva Sporting :) Finally since I arrived in Portugal I was yet to witness anything glorious by them and even though they got completely out played they some how some way got a bullshit goal in the end. On a side note Caicedo played well for the limited time he was on the pitch... irony is his name means "falls early" even though that goal fell late.
 
Game's pretty much played now. Quality difference was very large. Two lucky goals for Arsenal though.

FK Sarajevo played 1-1 against Cluj tonight.

Good result for Cluj and for Sarajevo.

Sarajevo eliminated Henrik Larsson's team a few weeks ago from the Europa League.

Aberdeen were beaten 8-1 on agg by the Czech side in the last round. Sigma wasnt it? They got beat 4-0 by Everton this evening.

I think Motherwell were beaten 5-1 on agg by Steaua i think.

Twente had a rough start vs. those Azerbeidjani's, who weren't a bad team, but 3-1 should be enough to get through to the next round.


Only NAC, predictably, went down 1-3 at home to Villreal. But they sure had those paella munchers fighting for it.


All in all a good result for Dutch footy.
 
Villa lost 1-0 to Rapid Vienna. Heard the goal was scored within 15 seconds. Last time that happened to Real Madrid in the Champions League. Not happy with that!

Now we have Liverpool on monday and we are totally off form. Curtis Davies is doubtful with after sustaining a shoulder injury. After liverpool we play Rapid at Villa Park. Which i am confident we can turn around especially if we get a result (evem a draw) against liverpool and if we put in a great performance regardless of the result, though, a good result will make all the difference.

We can beat Arsenal and Chelsea, why not United and Liverpool? Records will be broken sooner or later.
 
Rapid arent a bad side though. I saw Liverpool play them in pre-season. they were decent. was that tall striker playing?
