It is going to be about 7 months until I'm able to purchase my car but it still hasn't stopped me from reading every bit of material I can about them. So just for shits, what are your thoughts on these cars? Infiniti G35 Coupe, Acura TL (the latest gen), Honda S2000, Lincoln LS V8. I am only buying used and making sure they still have a warranty on them.

i say its tied between the S2K and G35. the G35 is straight luxury with good torque and handling. it also sounds and looks sexy. the S2K on the other hand is just as quick, handles better, is a roadster, and redlines at over 8k rpm. it depends on whether you want the raw road racing experience or luxury with good performance and comfort. id choose the G35. hopefully it will be my graduation gift to myself after i graduate from Lincoln Tech and become a mechanic.

Go with the g35 coupe. I like the TL but I dont want another sedan.
But hey how much are you looking to spend? I read htey are stopping production on the s2000 next year and they redid the body a little for this years model, it looks nice, the rear end has a little bit of a wdie body look to it, it dropped like 3 hp or something but thats no big deal, if you can get that, it might eventaully become a collector. But if you're anywhere near the 20-25 g range, do you like M3's?

The G35 is currently my top choice. I'm not going to spend any more than 30k all in (including taxes and tabs). For an M3, the only ones I can buy are the pre-01 which I don't like the body style and since it is a BMW, it will be pretty expensive to repair (and no warranty). Mileage is a concern to me since I plan on driving this car for a while, so I won't bother myself with buying a really nice car with high mileage just so I can get a good deal.

Honestly I can't really think of any other cars that would fit what I want. I'm going to stay away from BMWs since I know their repairs can be expensive (so that eliminates the 3 series). I'm not interested in the RX-8 because the thing doesn't have that much hp once the wheels hit the pavement. ...the crossfire is ugly, and the 350Z is the same thing as the G35 only cheaper.

If you can think of a current production car (one that will come with a warranty, this goes for everyone) that looks hot, is quick, and isn't made by an american automaker, let me know. ...i'd appreciate any suggestions.

Just checked out the G35. Very Nice.

Makes me jealous of our US friends on here though. Fully loaded brand new G35 is $40K, that's about £20K. :( I need to move countries.

You can find 02 M3's for around 25 but I understand waht you are saying about the repairs and such. But yeah the G35 is a nice choice, I think I would of had one myself but it was too expensive at the time, only cus I wanted brand new. But what your looking for I really can't think of anything else that fits. Maybe a CLK 430, maybe, if you find em.

G35 is the top choince.. but dont sleep on the lincoln... they havent seen any bad reviews and not many people have them... and they are sporty... nly thing im sure is rong is it might be a big underpowered... why ford is the only people still underpowering cars is a essay quetion to me

also.. look into the 03 cl type s.. i know you said the tl so i thought that would be a suggestion.. i know they are close to 300 hp..

I'm not sleeping on the LS, the reason i'm interested is that i can get a lot of luxury for a cheap price (they have shitty re-sale value). ...but the fact that it is american and that it just doesn't pump out the power puts it near the bottom of the list.

I'm not a big fan of the older Acura styling. It is kind of unfortunate for me since the cl type s does provide the power and handling I want.

I was looking at the Lancer Evo MR as well. It isn't the hottest one on the list, but the bitch will move...still not sure about this one either.
