I really hope the West Coast can get back on top, simply because I'd like Hip-Hop to go in a different direction again and Ive always like that Cali sound.
Ya Boy, Glasses Malone, E-40 and Kurupt are among the west coast's best right now, in fact E-40 and Kurupt have been since the 90s, so it's good to see them all on the track.
The thing is, if the West is trying to get back and do it's own thing, how are they going to do it with DJ Khaled-sounding tracks like this? The song isn't bad by any means, but it's not great either, and it isn't doing anything that the South hasnt been doing for a while now, from beat to flow. In fact Glasses Malone all but jacks Rick Ross's flow on this one and Ya Boy even says "We the best!"
Come on guys, give us that 2009 West Coast G-Funk, not that 2009 West Coast South imitation!
Don't get me wrong, I like this track, it is a banger, I just think these four could have done a lot more better and been a lot more original considering their talent pool.
