Technology wtf!

I just bought Star wars knights of the old republic II and it lags at some parts. Now this wouldn't be a problem except that I have a new computer. I have a 3.0 gig processer 50 gigs memory 516 ram ATI RADEON 9250 256 MD VIDEO CARD... I don't get it, any help? It even lags at a few parts on the lowest settings! I'm using an older moniter, bout six years old.. Could the refresh rate have anything to do with it?

The 9250 Radeon is somewhat old but should provided with ample graphics products. I would update your graphics card drivers and along with your game as well. If that does not resolve it then I would turn down the video options of the game if you have it on high set it to medium. Lower the graphics resolution.

check and see if u have any viruses, spyware, etc. on ur computer
