Would you go mad if you're kids done drugs.

There's a few threads on here about cocaine and a few before about other drugs.

It got me thinking, if you caught your kids with drugs, would you go mad??

I'd be pretty pissed, which is hypocritical, but I'd also try to be as honest as I possibly could about the effects of the drugs and the problems that come with them.

I wouldn't be happy at my kids doing any drugs including weed.

Anyone else? Any other hypocrites?

Obviously i would try and tell them not to bother going down that road, but if they we're smoking hash, dabbing speed, dropping X, snorting a few lines of coke i would'nt be to worried about it! i would'nt be happy about it, but i know it aint a big deal.

I would be pissed, I would try and educate, I suppose in the end it would depnd on their age and what I caught them with, how I would go about trying to discipline them,

and I'd only be a hypocrite if I was trying to stop them using weed, I don't use it anymore, but when I was a teenager I would smoke every now and again

Id smack them up, seriously, if you tell them not to do it, explain the effects, what it can do to there life, etc and they still do it, they deserve to be smacked up and put in there place just for being stupid, them doing it after you told them is blatant disrespect and as a parent its your job to disipline them even if it may make them mad at u, if your a fair parent and are cooperative and your kid dont do the same in return you should kick in the asskicking mode and proceed to stone cold stunner the kid until he/she is laying in a pool of worthlessness

I'd be disappointed moreso that angry i guess.

It's natural for kids to be curious and want to try drugs since so many people talk about it so much, and it's relatively easy to get ahold of.

I'd probably talk to them about it and try to make them come to the conclusion that drugs are bad on their own.

Because teenagers are very rebellious and me telling them, no don't do that, is only going to make them want to try drugs more.

Then again, I don't have any kids so I can't really say, only speculate.

It would depend on their age.. from birth to 12 years old, nothing is allowed, period. From 13-16, they can mess with weed. Anything from 17-up, they can handle themselves. I won't promote it, but I won't tell them not to. It's their life, they live how they want to.

If your child has defied your authority knowing what u said and they do it anyway, punishment must be given out.

If you're going to be mad/disappointed at them when you did the same thing as them, shouldn't you be mad/disappointed at yourself? Can you admit that? If not, you probably have no business guiding that child away from drugs.

But it should also be stated that if you didn't quit because no one encouraged you too, you should take the initiative and be that person to tell them not to. Then and ONLY then, if they didn't quit, could you be mad or disappointed.

I don't do drugs, therefore, I would expect the same from my kid(s). I would sit down and educate them about the hazards of drugs, but still fiercly punish them.

I would be angry if I did find them, but if they chose to continue with them, I'd rather have them do it if I knew where they were coming from.
