World's most economical car

Swiss researchers have developed the world's most economical car that could circle the globe on only eight litres of fuel.

The Pac-Car uses hydrogen fuel cell technology and was developed by a team at the Swiss Federal Technical University headed by Professor Lino Guzzella.

He said the "car could drive around the earth only using eight litres of fuel", and that it could be ready for mass production in the next couple of years.

I just think there are more important things at stake than egotistically powerful engines. What use is a hunk of gas guzzling crap when you cant afford to refill it because petrol prices are too high.... I guess you'd have to place yourself in the half of people that walk to work, lol.

plus, the direction we're going with these petrol guzzling cars, and the higher demand for petrol, prices will be sure to go up even higher AND to top this off, our world will get alot hotter, AND our natural resources will be very limited. Time to start taking back our future

The car won't look like that. It's a test car, a concept car.

It also won't be THAT efficeint.

And we also won't see it for a while. Shell and BP have loads of alternative vehicles that would end the need for petrol. But that doesn't make them huge amounts of money. So when any scientist finds a decent alternative fuel vehicle, Shell/BP buy the patent of them and stick it in their vaults.
