Technology Wireless hotspots

I'm just curious at how many people on the board actually uses or routinely goes to use a wireless hotspot. These hotspots are becoming bigger and bigger.

So does anybody go to their local Starbucks or some other place for internet access?

I don't use a wireless hotspot at a public place, but I do use wireless Internet at home. The Netgear router I use sucks, though.

when i do illegal stuff i just drive around houses until i find a signal, i do my thing then i leave.

just curious. never used that. when your computer is in the area where it could work wireless, do you need any additional info enter to your computer like IP or smth or it works automatically.
