Have you or your family and friends ever won Contests?

just something so simple like signing your name on a sheet,(example: win a years gift certificate to your favorite restaurant).

something you put your name and number down, then when you walk away from it you say to yourself. Oh i'll never win anything like that why did i bother signing up for it. Then days later you get a phone call saying you won. you go pick up your prize which afterwards you wind up feeling good about yourself.

about 4 yrs ago i put my name down for a contest at the music store at the mall. The prize was a brand new guitar. I threw my name on a sheet thinking I wouldnt win. Then days later i get a call telling me they drew my name. I went an picked it up, it wound up being of those Guitars with the Pepsi logo on it. (I Checked the value for it an its only worth $75 dollars) But at the time i won it, i felt good about it.

A year before that my Mom put her name in a drawing. The grand prize was a $500 dollar gift certificate toward this italian restaurant here in Toledo, you had to use it within the year. and yep she won too. We wound up dining there a few times out of the year

Hell has anybody ever won the Lottery for a small amount before?

Just came up with this thread, i just got done watching "The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio". for a 2nd time. If anybody hasnt seen that movie it is an Outstanding Movie. :thumb:

One time my parents won a free family pass (or something) to the snow. That was a good holiday.

Another time mum won 200 on a scratchy.

Both were a long time ago... holding out for the lottery now. :thumb:

My Mom did that about a year ago, and she got a message on her answering machine saying she won a special trip and to call them back. Well she couldn't remember filling anything out, so she called them and found out she won a free day to visit Gettysburgh. Her dream of Hawaii was then shattered.
