They've been in the Finals the last 2 years, and they have the best starting 5 in the league. Many blamed their lack of respect on their low scoring, yet this year, they are averaging damn near 100 ppg. Their defensive intensity is matched by no other team. Everyone who gets regular playing time has improved their game. They are the best 3-pt. shooting team in the league. At home, they are beating opponents by an average of 15 pts. They sport the best PG in the league as of now (Billups), the best catch-and-go shooter (Rip), and on top of that, they are possibly on pace to break the NBA season record of 72-10.

So what is it? I really would like to know.

I don't mean on a personal level, I guess I should've stated that. But more on a media-level. For example, the media actually referred to the Spurs-Pistons Christmas match-up as the "JV game." lol, while saying that the Lakers-Heat was the big game. Also, I don't know about now, but last week I checked the All-Star Ballot voting on nba.com, just to see who was leading. I came to find out that every single starting member of the Pistons had lack-luster votes. Even Memhet Okur had more votes than Chauncey Billups. Now that's a fuckin' shame. Also, before the season started, I remember reading that the Pistons would finish in around the 5th spot in the Eastern Conference, even though they'd just been in their 2nd Finals appearance in a row.

well, the media's also retarded, in case you havent heard....i have respect for the pistons, and im a bulls fan, in the same division....they are a good team....

the white sox didnt get a whole lotta media time until the end, and that also, alot less than what a taem would normally get for winning a WS....now, being a cubs fan, i still felt sorry for them not getting the attention they needed, but who cares?? they won and they were happy with out the attention......oh, and they just won best AP story of the year...sports story, maybe...

i have respect for pistons. they are really good. i was wishing them winning them finals but they didnt :(

i guess the media decides who they wanna make popular and who they wanna have forgotten. that sucks tho. they dont give attention to who deserves it.

no respect? ESPN is all over their nuts, talking about how they're going to break the Bulls record of 72-10 or wahtever it was

:thumb: tru everytime i turn espn all they talk about pistons

yeah, that is true.....there's always a report on them continuing their winning ways....

so, how did that guy come to say that they were not given the right amount of attention?

maybe he's talking about detroit itself, since he lives there...maybe the local news isnt saying much about them

they could go more...i'll say 15 losses....but i wont rule out beating that 72-10.....i hope they dont, just cuz that was during the jordan era.....dont wanna mess with that...

wow, they just beat the heat, WITH shaq

impressive game
It was an impressive game for the Pistons and not the Heat, and the Heat were still in it. That worries me. Plus Shaq isn't nowhere near 100 percent yet too, I think the Heat will rep the East this year.
