Technology why does my monitor keep doing this??

i think its called degaussing...everytime i turn on my comp monitor, it makes this loud buzzing sound....its been doing this ever since i got it about 3 years ago, but its finally gotten to me...i really need it to not do that...is there anyway i can stop this?? i tried messing around with the menus on the monitor, but to no avail....

Sounds to me like the power supply in the monitor isnt working properly, imo throw the shit out and buy a new one...

now, its just when it starts up..there's this 1 second of this degaussing...that's what its called...cuz when i was going through the menus on the monitor, it was called degauss....there was an option to do it, and when i selected it, it did the same thing it did when it starts up....i thik it ha somethign to do with a magnet in the monitor?
