Read the first line. I don't have heroes. That is a list of people I find inspirational in different ways.

Courtney inspires me because of her determination to get where she wanted to be despite all the shit she had been through. She loved Kurt despite all his issues (Courtney had been clean for a year when she met Kurt...and knew that being with him meant using again), she managed to make a great album (Live Through This) despite all the problems from the media. (There was a bullshit article in Vanity Fair which claimed she was using while pregnant which wasnt true, and based solely on this article they took Frances Bean Cobain away from Kurt and Courtney for a while....based on a fucking magazine article!!)

If you ever read the transcript of her speech about Napster and file-sharing a few years ago you would see that she is a highly intelligent woman...most people don't give her credit for all she's done.

I respect her for being able to put up with all the shit...whenever something happens to a famous male rock star the woman always gets blamed. Yoko didn't break up The Beatles, Courtney was in no way responsible for Kurt killing himself and Sid Vicious didn't kill Nancy Spungen.

She's also a fucking fantastic actress and has stolen the show in nearly every movie she's been in.

I could go on. I read her biography recently also...a very very inspirational read for sure.

I'm past all of that, and now I'm into learning and finding out what made them tick; I've narrowed it down to philosophy and semantics - wether or not they are related in this sense I don't know yet, and am still trying to figure out.
