Which deadly sin are you?

There are 7 deadly sins. We are all a victim of one or more of them. Now think about yourself and your life; which one do you primarily fit, or have a tendicy to do more than others. These are in order of severity (as it is said to be), start from least to worse. Which one are you?

Lust
Gluttony
Greed
Sloth
Wrath
Envy
Pride


I got Pride, apperently it's the worst one cause it leads to all the others. :(

So, which are you?

Ok, I dont get it, I dont know what any of those mean except Pride, which was a lifeskill at my elementary school, how the hell could it be a sin?

1. That doesn't help at all, I only know 3 of them, Satan, Lucifer, and Beelzebub (from Castlevania).
2. Aren't Satan and Lucifer the same person?

Pride is a deadly sin because it's the reason why the devil exists... he was too proud, and thought he was better then God.. hence the fallen angel.

I'm not sure which one i am, but i know i'm not proud, i dont have alot of dignity... :(
 
Ok, I guess a mini example or definition for each should be done..

Anyways here:

Lust — Unlawful sexual desire, such as desiring sex with a person one is not married to..

Gluttony — Wasting of food, either through overindulgence in food, drink or intoxicants, misplaced desire for food for its sensuality, or withholding food from the needy

Greed (covetousness, avarice) — A desire to possess more than one has need or use for

Sloth (also accidie, acedia) — Laziness; idleness and wastefulness of time allotted. Laziness is condemned because: Others have to work harder, It is disadvantageous for oneself, because useful work does not get done... those are some examples.

Wrath (anger, hate) — Inappropriate (unrighteous) feelings of hatred, revenge or even denial, as well as punitive desires outside of justice

Envy (jealousy) — Resentment of others for their possessions

Pride (vanity) — A desire to be important or attractive to others or excessive love of self, can be an example, but there are many forms of Pride.


Keep in mind, many types of examples can be taken for any of these.


And for the Satan and Lucifer thing, Lucifer is the Angel that defied God and started a rebellion in Heaven with other ArchAngels. Satan, is just known to be a really pissed off demon.. but I'm not too sure.

gluttony ( i glutton over mc donalds double cheese burgers)

sloth ( definately number 1 because its the reason im in the posistion im in now!)

Lucifer (Lucifer means Lightbringer) is, like Flippy said, the fallen angel. He took other angels with him as well on the rebellion, such as Beelzebub, Belial and Appolion. Many "demons" are either fallen angels, or personifications of vices. Most, like Asmodeus (and Beelzebub to a lesser extent), Belphegor and Mammon, originate from a different religion (Beelzebub might stem from the ancient Semitic deity Baal) and later incorporated into Judaism and Christianity. Many existed long in pagan or naturalistic forms long before the Bible gave them a more "fixed" role.

Satan is a direct embodiment of pure evil. Having many origins, its hard to pinpoint Satan. Satan is also called Belial, Lucifer and Beelzebub on occasions, even though strictly speaking those are different characters. So view Satan as a more general personification.


Regardless, i don't know really what sin i'd be. In any case not greed, as i'm not a greedy person and neither gluttony.

Probably sloth or lust. perhaps wrath :confused:

i think we pass through every one of them at different moments in our life or even moments in a week/day

sometimes you can be all of them at the same time or none of them

as for me i dont consider myself a sinner a lot, i try my best to be a good being, but no one's perfect huh, we all sin at times, either in reality or only in our mind
