My uncle (dad's bro) and his wife are both born on december 5th, which is our "Sinterklaas" holiday (yours is called Santa Claus, no coincidence, both names stem from the same Saint). Exactly the same happens with Christmas. Gifts and stuff.

However, our magnificent Sinterklaas is a bit different than fat ol' Santa. He is a wise, bearded man from Spain, who arrives in Europe every year with his steamboat. He rides a white horse and has black servants (no shit). He has a big book where he knows everything good and bad a kid has done. Sinterklaas owns Santa Claus.

Regardless, this aunt and uncle celebrate their birthday on Holland's biggest "spending" holiday.
