When videos hurt a rapper's career

We all know about Big Daddy Kane in purple.

I'd say a good recent example is Ray Cash. I thought "Pimp in My Own Mind" was a hot song, I dug the nod to Ball and MJG, but after the video I realized that Ray Cash could ONLY be a pimp in his own mind, and no one else's. God damn. That song with Face is hot, does he have a video for that? Nevermind, I don't want to know.

All that comes to mind was when the "Game - How We Do" video came out and Game pulled that funny face in it whenever he rapped.

Didnt really hurt his career all that much in the end though...

Jay-Z's "Sunshine" video comes to mind. All of his videos prior to this had that mafia type vibe to it (cant knock the hustle etc) then "Sunshine" video came out and everyone at the time thought it was a joke...Jay later in an interview admitted that the video was probably his worse decision ever.
