What's everyones thought's on this?

bein' humble is a good characteristic, but I think there's a line between bein' humble and just bein' plain dumb/taken advantage of........just in my lifetime I've seen so many of those type of "friends" ppl take advantage of......ppl who are 2 humble have mis-interpreted the word......either that or the ppl I've seen so humble have no confidence in themselves or they like bein' that way........to me it seems like they have a problem sayin' no to ppl or standin' up for themselves...

sometimes people take advantage of me. my friend asked me to download some songs and burn them for him and i didnt charge him. i did it, then he asked me to make another cd. i made it for him. without charging him. then he ask the 3rd time and i told him, this time you give me the cd. he was taking advantage of me, i guess im too nice at times

I don't think being humble has anything to do with getting walked over. I think it's more to do with insecurities of not being accepted for who they truly are. Thus they never say no. And the "friends' see this so they take advantage of it. The other thing is that the insecure guy can never turn back and stand his ground, whenever he does, the friends will act passive agressively or distant themselves until the insecure guy caves in or leaves the friends.
