here football is the most popualr sport...to play and watch. Why aren't rugby, cricket etc more popular?

One of the main reasons is to play football u hardly require anything. A ball, and a few coats/rocks/trees as goalposts and there u go. u can play it in ur local park, street, garden where ever. This applies the world over...poor ass brazilian kids play it in their shanti towns, beaches, backstreets...and u see ow gud the brazilians are at football. u dont even need a ball, u can use a can or nethin

so,basically what you telling me is the main reason why soccer is so popular and easier to play is because all you need is a ball to play where in basketball or other sports you need equipment to play so, its much easier for kids or most kids would rather go out and pick up a ball and play soccer because they only have to have ball rather then going out getting a net and play basketball?

i agree on that you only need a ball in soccer and in basketball you need a ball and a net. but do you really or can you really judge the popularity of soccer and basketball by just that what you above said that you only need a ball in soccer therefore its much essier, can you really do that? you know what i mean, can you really say somethin like 'oh soccer players have advantage so thats why its more easier and popular'? do you not realize or think theres more to it than just to say 'oh he get advantage cause he only needed a soccer ball to play'. i mean yea its true you only need a ball so you might have lil advantage but to come to the general conclusion about soccer and say soccer has been famous just for simple fact that kids growing up only needed a ball to play with is radicilous.

why America has the biggest stage in basketball another words why is NBA so big and why not there arent 'NBA' type a league's in other countries? if according to you net is harder to find to play basketball, if Americans seem to find the net then why arent other countries finding the net to play basketball. im sure its not becuase theres few nets in other countries and theres more here in America. its because basketball is not as likeable or advanced in other countries as soccer is.not because its hardto find net in other countries, because if people have net here in America then i dont see any reason why people wont have net in other countries.

and its rich u talkin about essays and teachers doin this and that. didnt u av to do a test for retards (ok not retards, but "less gifted") cos u cudnt gradute from high school properly a while back?

Add with the the thrills and spills, the technical skill at the advanced level, the enthrallin games and a few others factors...then u have the reason why football is the most popular sport.

If you could say "hoop" instead of "net", I'd highly appreciate it. To this day, I still play on a hoop without a net and I manage just fine. The 3 dollar nets at True Value only hold up for about a week or two, due to my swishing.
