Non-Urban Music What should be done to improve Don't Stop The Music?

It seems like lately this section of the board has been very very very dead. The once populated forum is now but dead and quiet. So i thought i'd make a thread and get opinions from others on how we can get this place buzzing again.
I know for a fact that many people on the board (especially the older ones) have a great variety in music taste.

So suggestions?

I agree. Gotta remember that this forum is mainly for hip-hop/rap fans. Other varieties of music don't appeal to many of the users here. Sad to say cause I'm not personally a hip-hop/rap fan, and I enjoy getting involved in the discussions on DSTM, but there isn't much anyone can do if they're not interested.

honestly though, i want to introduce everyone to a world other than hiphop. People have to see that there is variety and they can relate to other things other than hiphop/rap. OPen your minds dammit

I barely listen to that much hiphop anymore, as there's not that much good shit coming out. For the last year or so i've been mainly listening to my other favorite genres, namely funk, grunge, metal, nu-metal and ragga.

The same old topics are always being created... listing songs, commenting on a band... we dont really have topics or issues to discuss like they do in the Streethop or Life forums. Maybe we could work more towards that... start threads that that allow people to discuss things.

As soon as the board livens up then it will gather up some pace.

how about if we have a download section in this part of the board that is only for non-hip hop/rap music. stickly rock, country, folk, rnb, funk, etc.

i'll start uploading some of my favorite songs from my favorite non hip hop artist. i'll turn ever single one of you into a grateful dead fan.

Download Linx can and has been used for more than just hip-hop. I dont really think there is a need for a seperate section/thread.
