Very Disturbing

just because i don't want it doesn't mean it deserves to die

Mm because unwanted children have it so well in life.

how do you know i've never been in that situation?

'Cause if you had, you wouldn't make ignorant comments like that.

why can't fourteen year olds who get pregnant keep their babies?

Because they are unable to support and take care of children?

so you didn't like morning sickness and you had exams and you wanted to graduate so you got rid of your child? pretty selfish of you. plenty of people study whilst pregnant.

Yeah. I'm going to support my child with the money I get when I study (about 100 dollars). At the same time I'm going to support myself, and also I will try to graduate from high-school while having no energy to do anything because I can't eat at all and everything I put in my mouth comes right back up... see over here, if you haven't graduated from high-school, you don't get a job but that's okay, I should've just kept the baby and lived on the street for the rest of my life!

i have been in that situation actually. the comments i made are not ignorant. nobody has the right to take away a life, so what if unwanted children have a shit life?? a shit life is better than NO life. i would rather live on the streets, beg for money to support myself and my child than to murder my child.
i had sex, i got pregnant, so i was prepared to take responsibilty for my own actions.
instead of murdering the child in cold blood, why not give it up for adoption once it's born? why not give it a chance at life?
i had a miscarriage, i lost my baby. in case ur wondering

But see, when I'll have children I want them to have good lives. I don't want them to have shit lives, I want to be a good mom. I want them to have all those things that I never had like a mommy and daddy who loves each other and has time for them. And at 18, I knew I would never be able to do that. So I took responsibility for my actions too, but in a different way.

I didn't see abortion as murder before I did it and I don't see abortion as murder now (I don't consider a fetus to be a human being since at six weeks it hasn't been developed enough yet. When I had the abortion it was basically just a big clot of blood), but I guess you're entitled to your own opinion and I'm sorry about your miscarriage.

I know this is a sore subject but if anyone actually read the whole site...it covers everything from politcal, philosophical, financial, conditional...all aspects of the issue.

If ppl use the arguement that "The embryo is not yet a human, (it's too small or whatever) so it doesn't matter if I abort it."
"size doesn't determine personhood after birth...why does it determine personhood before birth"

at 8 weeks every organ is present and in place.

some quotes from the page...
It requires that abortion providers notify any woman seeking an abortion more than 20 weeks after fertilization that there is growing medical evidence that the preborn child in her womb can feel "severe and extreme pain" during an abortion. If she decides to go through with the abortion, she would be offered anesthesia for the baby in order to lessen its suffering

Question: In the case of an 8- to-10-week fetus, if you apply pressure will it tend to try to get out of the way?

Answer: Normally it would be extremely difficult, apart from putting a foreign instrument or needle into the uterus to apply pressure, but with a fetus at that maturity you have a very small fetus in a larger capsule of fluid. However, as the famous work of Dr. Davenport Hooker shows, in his many thousands of feet of film, babies at this maturity are responsive to touch.

The fetus also responds violently to painful stimuli-needle puncture and injection of cold or of hypertonic solutions- stimuli which you and I find painful, children will tell you are painful, and the neonate, to judge from his responses, finds painful.

6) It is illegal to execute a pregnant woman on death row in the U.S. because the fetus living inside her is a distinct human being who cannot be executed for the crimes of the mother.

I used to be pro-choice but I've been researching this topic...and
How can people say it's justified if they are not financially ready to take care of a baby...Does that mean we should kill all of the children whose parents don't have money to take care of them???

Why is it considered double homicide in most states if you kill a pregnant woman...if it is not yet...human?

I still don't know exactly how I feel about the issue and I don't want to offend anyone...I would just like to discuss this and get everyones opinion...and why you feel that way...
after you read the site...

how can you justufy murder? because that is what it is.

So if the baby dies while in the womb, thats suicide right?

The fetus is reliant on the mother for it to live, if the mother see's a bleek future for the child and thinks it in the best interest that the pregnancy doesnt go on then thats HER (and the fathers) decision. I think if a woman gets pregnant ALOT and gets an abortion everytime then yes I'd say thats wrong and she should probably get her reporductive organs taken out, but you shouldnt be laying such heavy judgement on something that doesnt really effect you.
What would you think of a woman who got pregnant from a rape and decided to get an abortion? Should she keep it having that constant reminder of her attacker? How will the child feel knowing their a product of a rapist?
What if a woman comes to a point in her pregnancy where if she has the baby she will die?
In your view she would be a murderer, all for the sake of having another person on this planet.
I personally wouldnt get an abortion unless some of those situations ^ came up, but thats just me and I understand other people have tougher decisions to weigh up.

there are good point's on either side. i personally think that at the end of the day it is the woman's choice.

i have never been in that situation so i can't comment, but i feel the same as katarina, i want to have children when i can support them both financally and emotionally.

children having babies at 14 is just wrong, they shouldn't even be having sex anyway!!

see if i'd have a baby, once born i'd never be able to give it to adoption. i still cant understand how people are able to give up their babies like that. yeah it might be the best for the baby, but as a parent then i'd lost contact with my kid and that would really depress me. if i ever have a kid, its when im gonna be emotionally and financially stable. or else i'm not gonna have it. i want the best for my baby, the best being with his real family and i have the money to give him the best.

btw sorry for your miscarriage.
