Well it's fall break and not much going on in the afternoon, so I decided to take some pictures of the campus to put up here and send home.

Picture of My Quad (my dorm is in the back left):

Saunders Hall (classrooms and professor offices):

South Building (used to be dorms and the 11th President of the U.S., James K. Polk, lived there, but now it has offices and such):

Stone Slab with Univerity Emblem:

Wilson Library:

The last four were all in Polk Place, the southern quad of main class buidlings.

The Old Well (it's the symbol of the university.. it's on every paper, newsletter, etc. that we ever distribute.. also, if you drink from the well on the morning of your first day of classes, you're supposed to get a 4.0):

Old East (If you look at the building behind the Old Well, that's Old West, which looks identical to Old East.. also, Old East is a national landmark):

The Poplar and the Bench (the University was supposedly founded around this tree, and will stand for as long as it stands...the bench is the one I mentioned before where if you kiss someone there you'll be together forever):

Morehead Planetarium and the Monument to the Slaves that Helpd Build the University:
uncchcampus0099nq.jpg

Silent Sam (supposedly the body of the first Dean is buried near it):

The Pit (basically the center of Univesity activity.. if you sit there all day during a day of classes, you'll probably be able to see every single student.. in the back is the student union, to the right is the student store, and to the left would be Lenoir dining hall):

The Bell Tower:

Kenan Memorial Stadium (football):

Ram's Head Plaza (Dining Hall, Market, and Gym)

Davis Library (largest library in the state I believe):

awesome, UNC is my dream, now days with there strict policies of accepting out of staters im not so sure.
Well it's because it's a public school, so the tax payers pay for its upkeep. The state feels that if they're paying, then they should get the opportunity to go. That's why they limit the numbe rof out of staters that they can accept.

It's not impossible to get in out of state, but if you have the opportunity to live in state, you might want to consider it. It'd definitely make it a whole lot easier.
