yes...like the title says UN soldiers are low loifes BUT not all of them...

today i was watching the news and i saw something really disturbing...i seen UN soldiers helping out with the Tsunami relief but the disturbing part was what they were doing to the women. Alot of the woman were married and now their husbands are dead or nowhere to be found and a lot of the young girls are orphans and have no money and no where to go. These UN soldiers are exploiting these females misfortunes these woman are so poor and so desperate for something to eat that they are selling their bodies. The going rate for oral sex is $2 and for intercorse no more than $7-$10 and in some cases some of these women and girls are having sex just for some food. In one case a female had sex just for a jar of peanut butter...PEANUT BUTTER! JUST FOR SOME FUCKING PEANUT BUTTER! And it doesn't end there UN soldiers in Congo are doing the same thing...except for the fact that they don't pay or atleast give them food they just rape them. Hundreds of women and girls...some as young as 11 years old are claiming to have been raped by these UN soldiers and are getting pregnant by them and leaving the babies to be bastards. Most of these UN soldiers are choosing young girls because there is a less chance of getting the HIV/AIDS virus. There has been over one hundred reports of rape by UN soldiers...and 2 have been prosecuted but only 1 has been convicted. I've heard a lot of words being said about this...but i have yet to see any action being done about it. These soldiers are supposed to be there trying to help these people get back on their feet and helping them through this rough time but instead they're making their situation even worse by making these females feel like less than nothing...and if i'm the only person who feels that something should be done now and i mean NOW! then we all should really wonder what he world is coming to

I dont want to sound harsh but prostitution in thailand and parts of asia was common place before the tsunami occured , its the poverty of the continent not just the disaster affects that has caused prostitution to occur . i also do not think the soldiers are taking advantage of the girls , more the girls posistion causes them to seek out rich westerners for a way to earn good money , dont foerget $3 dollars is probably a months wages to these people . i went to kenya with the army 3 years ago and the boyfriends/husbandas were often the pimps and were selling the girls to soldiers and earning a fortune for there family to lead a better life , i think that it was a case of survival for these people . i dont condone the actions of the soldiers but there are always two sides to each story and that newspaper and media reports often want a scandelous story more than the whole truth to be told .

Theres many great UN soldiers out there, but remember that the UN army is consisted of soldiers from poor countries, and just like any soldier from any country temptations of money and sex got the better of some

We must remember that these soldiers are just humans and is as the case with all people there is good and bad. It does'nt matta if they are soldiers, there is always gonna be bad people in all walks of life. So lets say fuk these soldiers who exploit these women, but lets remember that the UN also consists of many good/hard-working individuals.
