Uni Work Experience

Ok firstly i am a 4th year civil engineering student in Australia
I have a choice to make for my next work experience placement which is 8 months long and also contributes to finding a job when i finish. The choices are either earning shit loads of money out in a mining town Moranbah, and pretty much saving most of it($20,000 could be saved easily). Or earning alright money in Brisbane city, where i would party most of the time and spend all of my money. The other thing also is that the company in brisbane would be able to provide me with heaps more learing experince then out in Moranbah.

Right now im in 2 minds, either take the money while getting limited experence or take the job in the city with considerable less money but more experience. what would u's do, go the riduculus money or the experience and party life.

i know there are a few students on this site at the moment so im just wondering what u would do in this situation.

Money is important and good to have of course, but money is better spent on good times in my opinion.

Why enjoy lots of money for yourself only, when you could enjoy some money with friends and partying.

I'm a firm believer in the saying, " You only live once. Make the most of it. "

Buddy.. if I were you... go to Brisbane, make some GOOD money, and have the greatest time of your life. Life is too short.... go and have a fucking ball

It's always nice to get a step up in life by earning some money... maybe there are things you wanna do with the extra money (house, car, holiday) or just save for your own sense of security... if you are just gonna party and squander your money in Brisbane, that may not be the wisest of choices. And you never know, it may be a real experience living in a mining town. Having said that, it's not about money or partying really - it is a career choice and you wanna put yourself in the best possible position, one with the most opportunities, which by the sounds may be the city.

yeh thats tha dilemma right there either set myself up financially and then party after that or live life and party right now, and the money will come later.
