What is the most unbearable pain you've had to endure?

For me...it was having a toothache and then having to have a root canal. :fury: That was the worst pain ever. I remember laying my head on the kitchen floor with my cheek against the tile so that the cold could maybe soothe my pain while waiting on my dentist appointment.

Okay, your turn.

Had to get an ingrown toenail removed. It was so infected that anestheic didn't work 100% so I could feel the scalpel go under my toenail. Then after that part of the toenail was removed they put some sort of acid on it to kill the cells that create the toenail, and that stung like a motherfucker

That sounds horrible. When I had my root canal they couldn't numb it all the way at first. So I had to get a shot with this HUGE needle in the tooth that was hurting in the first place. Then when he started to drill....I still felt it. It wasn't painful just uncomfortable. I feel your past pain

Getting stitches on both of my eyelids when i got jumped last year, the novacaine going into my eyelids and the pain was unbelievable, and realizing that it didn't do shit while they put the stitches on my eyelids made it even worse.

Ive broken my nose and my fingers on numerous occasions.Have had to get stitches on numerous occasions as well.Ive had teeth extracted.but the pain wasnt that bad for any of those things.I got the mumps 2 years ago as well.that may have been the worst.with my jaws being swollen and my balls being swollen as well..I have a high pain threshold.I have played on in matches with broken bones.

I got hit by a van when I was 16...I win...

I don't actually remember the incident being painful....but the recovery was.
My pelvic bone was broken/crushed and some ribs...punctured lungs...no head injuries tho. I had to learn how to walk again.

I have a few scars that I despise...Which is another reason I'm mad at doctors...I know it sounds extremely vain but I HATE these scars. They are not pretty at all...I know they saved my life but I wish they could have done it a lil neater.

you know... the worst i've been through are tummy pains... but really bad ones that last for a day or so... then you poop and it feels better..

and im not joking, i've broken an arm, slid down a hill and hit my head on the edge of a brick wall, and the worst pain are those tummy pains that last for 1 a minutes straight... and you jsut crumple on the floor and make weird noises..

Broken ribs are supposed to be fucking deadly though arent they?My mom broke a few ribs in a car crash a few years back and she was in alot of pain for ages afterwards. They have never been right since.I can imagine that a broken pelvis must be deadly as well.

During the recovery I was on a lot of pain medication...So I was kind of "out-of-it" but yea it hurt like a bitch when they stuck the tubes in my lungs...they never mentioned death tho. I don't think broken bones are deadly (?) If I get really thin...my ribs are uncomfortable...and my bones will hurt sometimes if it's really humid or certain weather...other than that I have no long term complications...

I might not be able to carry a baby...but that's not known yet...until I try.

They were talking about a body cast for awhile for my pelvic bone...but they decided not to THANK GOD.

well i've had my share of broken and fractured bones in my time (fractured skull, fractured collarbone, broken pelvic bone, broken bone in foot, etc.) but the worst pain i can remember came from a toothache/mouth infection. i had a toothache on one side of my mouth, went to the dentist and had it removed. problem solved. except that the next week, i had developed an infection on the other side of my mouth that was so painful i couldn't eat or sleep for 2 days straight. when i eventually got antibiotics the pain went away almost immediately, but those 2 days were the worst in my life.

well i don't think you can die simply from a broken bone, but broken ribs can puncture a lung very easily and that can cause death pretty quickly.

True...

Somebody not returning my messages on myspace!

probably having my appendix burst, that shit was horrible

Tooth and mouth pain is definitely the worst. I had a root canal also but they gave me novacane or whatever and it didnt work cus they didnt know I had an infection. I didnt feel the drilling much but he went and poked the nerve and it hurt so god damn much. They put me to sleep to finish it.
