Yeah I found out about this myself a few years ago. I was shocked too, and their is no "In memoriam" for Morrow or the children in the film.

there has been rumors over the years that footage of the accident exists on the black market, but the producers say it was destroyed. i'm surprised you never heard about this, i've seen plenty of TV documentaries and other things where this has been mentioned. but it was in 82, so it's not like its recent news or anything lol. but the real tragic thing about it is that the 2 kids weren't even supposed to be on set at the time (child actors can only work 4 hours a day), and Landis had them come back after they had done their work for the day to film this stunt/scene

yeah i heard about this. similar things happened during the filming of the Omen OG. i can't remember specifics but they're detailed in the special features on the DVD.

^^I remember hearing about that to like how Gregory Peck's plane was struck by lighting. Twice. Same thing happened to Jim Cavazel on the set of The Passion of The Christ, he got struck twice by lighting.
