Well for those who live in Toronto, and yout ake public transportation you know that they are going on strike monday.

those fuckers, i'm graduating in one week finally and the fools decide to go on strike. it takes me like 1+ hour to get to the school already, and now it will take me more. bah i'm pissed. ty

I'm from Westchester County, which borders New York City from the north, and a bus strike over there has lasted for a month, and a week, now. That really sucks having to spend $7.25 ($2.75 for the commuter rail, and $4.50 for the taxi home) to get home, when I used to spend $2 on the buses to do so. Those greedy fucking drivers are making life hard for students, and low-income workers, just so they can retire at a younger age. That strike has crippled my county, and I just hope Toronto dosen't have a mayor that would rather visit China than resolve the strike, like my county's executive.

exactly. Expect insane traffic. I dont take the TTC anymore, but i do drive. I hate driving the way it is now...so i cant wait til tomrrow

TORONTO (CP) - A planned strike that many feared would cause chaos in the streets of Canada's most populous city was narrowly averted Sunday after representatives for the Toronto Transit Commission and its union reached a tentative agreement.

"I want to announce to the people of Toronto that there will be full TTC service," said Bob Kinnear, president of the Transit Workers Union, representing bus, streetcar and subway operators.
