Well i LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE my porsche's and i know a few members here do too. So i thought i'd dedicate a thread to the brilliance of the car.


I recently realised that porsche has a new model called the Cayman. It's like the inbetween of a boxter and a 911 (or as i'd like to call it the hardtop boxter). It's like a cross breed between the 2 as well.

I really like it, it really is a cross between the 2 cars if you look at it you'll notice it as well

What are your thoughts?

Also what are peoples thoughts on the Cayenne (The 4wd). I think they're ok. It's like a stretched porsche. I drove one a few weeks back and they are AWESOME. It's like a sports car but a 4wd. It was weird.

and there are also talks on a four-door 911. I am certainly excited about this since my brother will most definitely get one.

Porsche moving into the 4 door market is very interesting; I'd sure love one haha.

the car doesn't get released till 2009.
right now he has a volvo and a alpha though :D

doesn't want to get a normal 911 since he's got a family now. so he most definitely get a 4 door one. But hurry up and get to melbourne none the less.
 
The back of the 4-door Porsche looks like the old 928! And it resembles the Merc CLS. A bit. The car looks good though.


I like Porsches. German engineering at it's finest. :thumb:

That Cayman is alright. I like the Cayennes, I've never been a big 4WD fan, but the fact that it has kept the porsche look makes it ok in my book.

This is the kind I want, no, the kind I will have. It's been my ultimate car since I was about 14... the 911 Turbo and fortunately in the last 7 years they've gotten better and better, lol.

I'd like it in black though. ;)

Buy a corvette c6, why do u want to be like every one else in europe. isnt 186 mph top speed and a car which can outaccelerate, outpace, goes around a track faster, gives u better gas mileage, has a better resale value, and a lot cheaper doesnt ring a bell at all.

There is 2 major thing a 911 has and a Vette doesn't. Style and build quality.

And depending on which version of 911 you have, a C6 can easily be gobbled up on a track. And better gas mileage? *haha*

You keep comparing the c6 vette to "a 911". The best comparison would be vs. the new 911S. The Vette is a bit quicker in a straight line, no surprise there with 50 hp more and more torque (weight is about the same). The Vette does a little better on fuel economy (9.2 km per litre vs. 8.7, then again, who buys a sportscar for fuel economy?)


Top speed is practically the same. Standard Vette does 297, standard 911 S does 294. Any 911 up the echelon from the S goes faster than your Vette (albeit a tiny bit), up and over the 300KM barrier.


Faster around a track? Prove it first, talk later. My guess is they're about equal. Won't be much in it. And then we're talking standard 911 or 911 S's. The 911 Turbo wont differ much as well. Its faster but heavier. Dont know how its 4wd will cope.

However, take any GT 911, such as the GT3 or even the GT2 (haha) and your vette is burned toast.

You are so subjective it start getting on my nerves. Why do you feel the need to come into this thread trumpets blaring proclaiming the C6 is, in every aspect, a better car than the 911? Do you really want to blow your own horn so much? Because it isnt the better car. You may think so, that does not make it fact. they are both good cars.

you're not gaining popularity either


and not everyone in europe drives 911's :rolleyes::rolleyes:

lol, dont make me feel guilty now :( sorry if it came across a tad harsh :) but you're constantly tearing down other cars in favour of your vetty :p
