its a patois, a lenguage question thats why i posted it in "our block".
how it come that in jamaican "the" is pronounced "di"?
some tosters say "di" and some say "de"?
look at kartel he always says "di".
and what about writing?some songs are with "di" some with "de".
i noticed that roots and dub artists/songs always write/spell "de" and dancehall "di"?
so whats the deal?

I like how you called this thread "THE patois Question". Emphasis on "THE", as if there are lots of other questions about Jamaican patois, but this is the definitive one.
