I picked up their record on the strength that it's 3/4 of Jane's Addiction (not the original bassist, but the latest JA bassist), and, despite all the negative reviews the record is getting, I liked it. The band definitely shares parallels with Velvet Revolver, both legendary bands, each with their own guitar GOD, and a new frontman, pretty much.

This record definitely follows the pattern of VR's record, but I would say this record is stronger overall, with better melodies. Dave Navarro doesn't go as wild as I would have liked, his solos are reigned in a little, but this record is up there on my "Rock Records of '06" list, along with the Boo Yaa TRIBE's new metal record.
