So i watched this movie last night . I definitely think it will be one of the top movies for '05 . It was totally mind blowing from beginning to end , however , the end was a little dissapointing . I loved how the movie really involved the viewer by picking up clues in the movie , up to the end. I was also stunned how much effort Christian Bale (Main Charcter) put into actually being his character , omg , dude was skin and bones , anyone notice how he got thinner throughout the movie ? .. anyways enjoy this movie ??

I want to see this, but I don't know how comfortable I'd be watching this in the cinema with friends. Doesn't seem like the type of film you "enjoy", if you know what I mean.

Ive been waiting for this movie also,..i like christian bale but the movie trailer came out last November....i gave up on it figuring it was never going to be released. Has it been released or did it go straight to dvd?

no i suggest getting the video or dvd , rent it . Theres just too many parts in the movie where you'll be like , "wait what was that , let me rewind" !

Christian Bale is one of the most underrated actors in the biz that I can think of. His roles in Shaft, Equilibrium, and ESPECIALLY American Psycho really showed how calculated and cunning he can be onscreen. The Machinist showed his dedication to roles, he lost 65 pounds of muscle, then put it all back on for the new Batman (which isn't looking as good as first impressions IMO, Katie Holmes CANNOT act).

Brad Anderson (director of The Machinist) also directed a horror movie that is one of my all-time favorites, called Session 9, with David Caruso (CSI: Miami). Killer scary flick, check it out.
