Recently i noticed something..."interesting" here on PB. I was wanting to make this thread longer but the server switch popped up.

Regardless, i'll cut to the cake. A lot of you on here got all amped up at Hankaveli because of his use of the word "nigga". Now i don't wanna stir that discussion up again, and i certainly don't want to create a new N-word discussion.

But the new MzUndastood member, constantly uses the word as well. And by her own saying, she is not black (http://2pacboard.com/forum/showpost.php?p=331465&postcount=27).

So i'm wondering where all the Hawks have went. Where are you now? Why aren't you bitching on her for using it like y'all were swarming over Hanki?

Now, i'm not tryna instigate something here. I'm genuinely curious why you people let one thing slide and get anal about the other.

And nothing personal against you, MzUndastood. I just noticed and decided to see what is up.

Oh, and:

Remember that

I sided with Hankaveli on his issue. However, the difference is that he uses it because he knows it'll draw attention and wants attention and controversy, while Mz Undastood doesn't seem like she wants everybody to see her say, "Nigga".

usualy I just use it cause it is natural, I can only think of once that I used it to get attention and that was in a topic tittle, oh and when people are bitching I might use it more just to rattle there cage.

but don't use it as disrespect.

If she doesn't want everybody to see her use the word, she shouldn't use it at all. Period. What's the point of language if you don't want people to see/hear you?

I don't care whether she uses it or not. I really don't. But why is she "allowed" when Hank isn't?

meh

I guess the people that uses the word "nigga/er" also use it in real life. But I wonder for instance Hankaveli if you have used the "nigga/er" word on black people when you are greeting them for example?

A very valid point can be made that the "nigga/er" word has alot of history and hatred to it (this is why it is frown upon here) while as "wigger" is just another word which has no value other than trying to be black. When we (the young generation) uses the "n" word we don't think about the prejudice and the hate it has but rather we think of it like whats up man or how's my favorite boy doing.

Disagree. I grew up in an area that have a lot of racist kids. The "young generation" can be just as prejudice as the older ones.

Not that you were implying this, but anyone who says racism isn't an issue is just fooling themselves. I had to put up with a lot of it back up in Pennsylvania (even if it wasn't directed towards me). It wasn't even harmless jokes. It was straight up hate.

It's not natural for you. My point stands. But, it's ok, though. Language is a reflection of thought and culture. If that's how you want your thoughts to be processed, go ahead.

I just said it was natural, and now you say it is not natural for me?

how you figure?

you only know Hank you don't know the real me....

just cause people speak my real name on here don't mean they know me or anything about me,

She's a new member, did not post a picture, and only posted once in her "IM chat" way that she is not Black. It was not made known. If it gains attention the way Hank did with his words, I have no doubt that people will not want her saying it. As for your last question in the first paragraph, ask Hank that. Why does he want people to see/hear him say the word "nigga"?

Because I find it hard to believe that a white person can use the word nigga and feel that it's natural. You might have Black friends and you might be surrounded by Black people and use the word "nigga" with them and have them feel fine about it, but that does not mean it's right for you to say it. I will end this discussion now because Duke doesn't want it like this, it already went too far.

Get In The Van I Have Candy said:
But do you say the word niggas to actual black people and not on the internet?

That does not matter. It doesn't make it "right", either way. The point is, he should find out himself that using the "nigga" word is pretty much unneccesary, regardless.

I don't get it, I mean ..isn't it OBVIOUS that it isn't cool for a white dude to use the word nigga? I'm sure everyone in the world knows the word, what it means and where it came from. If not, stop hiding under a rock. If you aren't african american, don't say the word. It's that simple. I don't care how many black friends you hang out with, it doesn't make it ok. There's no reason for this topic to pop-up every couple of weeks. Use your fucking heads.
