Film & TV 'The Godfather' installing problem

Wassup people I have a problem; When I want to install the Godfather Game the installer says: "Installation cannot continue because this game requires DirectX 9.0c or higher to be installed on your system. blabla". But I have the latest DirectX, I checked the version number and everything... I found some things at troubleshooting boards but it wasn't so helpful. I installed this game 2 months ago but than there wasn't any problems with it, so what's the problem now? Any ideas?

I ran it... It said that I have DirectX 9.0c.

hmm cant u remove dx then let the game install it?

Now I'm trying to reinstall DirectX from the game's DVD, I hope that it will work.
