Yes I am shocked as well. He stated that he will not be in the states when Wrestlemania rolled around. I hope he will stay active with the company be it manager, commissioner, guest referee, anything.

'Hitman' will join Hall of Fame

On April 1 in Chicago, WWE will induct the 2006 Hall of Fame class, and leading the way will be Bret "The Hitman'' Hart. Despite differences between Hart and WWE and the lingering effects of the infamous "Montreal Screwjob'' that resulted in the Hitman moving to WCW in 1997, the two sides have come together just enough to put together a DVD and to agree on the Hall appearance. Hart, who would be on most people's lists of the best of all time, previously had turned down offers to appear at WrestleManias 18 and 20 and had stated the only way he would come back to WWE would be if Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels publicly apologized for what happened in Montreal, which they have not.



AROUND THE RING: Stacy Keibler will be moved to "Raw'' once she is ready to return from "Dancing with the Stars'' on ABC. ... Expect Dusty Rhodes to be added to the Hall of Fame inductees next week. ... Mike Awesome is retiring from wrestling to spend time with his family but remains open to working another ECW reunion match.

i don't know about a public apology, but wahtever he wanted he obviously got since he did the dvd and now this. He had said he wasn't sure about doing the hall of fame thing because his emotions are still fucked up after the stroke he had and he didn't think he could handle it. I guess he's finally to the point where he thinks he can, either that or he just got sick and tired of them asking him to do it lol. I seriously doubt he'll ever be back in any storyline capacity on any wrestling show however.

i don't know about a public apology, but wahtever he wanted he obviously got since he did the dvd and now this.

He did the DVD because he didn't want to have the same fallout as the Warrior's DVD where they bash him. Also he wanted to do the DVD so he can say what he wanted to say and the fact that WWE gave him rights to whatever Bret wanted to put on the DVD.

I seriously doubt he'll ever be back in any storyline capacity on any wrestling show however.

Yeah I really doubt he will be back in any storyline since he won't be getting paid to be in the Hall Of Fame while other inductees get paid for attending. But he will be in this years Wrestlemania as they do with other recent inductees to get an applause from the fans.

I remember reading somewhere that if HBK is in the ceremony then he won't be there. Still holds a grudge after all these years.

dunno if its actual fact but i've heard about them sayin bret wanted a apology for them for the past couple of years now if he was to return to the wwe in some way/shape/ or form..
