Two college students were caught off guard when they were approached by a group of teenage girls, wielding knives and a gun. The victims were attacked late Friday night on King's Court, near Trinity University.
"It's not funny," said one of the victims, who did not want to be identified. "It terrified me and my friend. It's not cool and they're just too young to throw their lives away like this."
The students say they were robbed by four teenage girls, who used knives and a rifle.
"They were just asking for change," said the other victim. "Then all of a sudden, there's a knife, like three inches from your neck, like really close. And a gun pointing at you."
Police say the girl attackers were dressed in red, white, and black and were between the ages of 17 and 19.
After the robbery, police released a description of the suspects' car. An alert patrolman spotted and stopped them on the west side and made the arrests. They're facing felony aggravated robbery charges, which could mean prison time.
