Surfing Grovedale Style

It rained a lot for a couple of days down here and a few ovals got flooded down near the river, so we made the most of it and went surfing behind the car. It was nothing extreme, but still a lot of fun for a Sunday.

A mate put together a little piece. I'm not in the footage but it gives you an idea of what we were doing.

After a few goes I got cocky and came off at around 50kph, tried to run of water and face planted. It hurt considering the water is only up to your knees at best.

Anyways, anyone surf or wake board? I think Aaron snowboards?

I used to go to the River with a friend who had a boat.. Mostly used the biscuit and tried knee boarding once but wasn't very successful, not very good when 2 people are trying it..

Yeah I snowboard. My sisters old boyfriend had a boat so I was on a wakeboard a lot for like 3 summers straight, she should have never broke up with that rich guy. I've surfed in Cali but nothing big. Im going to Hawaii next summer to have sort of a family reunion type thing so I plan on surfing while im out there.

That shit looks fun though.

lol it's way better with 2 people out the back, you have battles where you start out real wide and clash in the middle. Woodys old man used to take us out a few years ago but I could never get the homo off coz as soon as I got close, he would splash me the run away lol

Yeah the others who were more experienced did that, but when you're learning its a bit of one falls off then the other and so on.. You never get anywhere haha.. Stupid scrooge didn't wanna do another run.

I'm like a 20 minute drive from the actual mountains. Then the ski resorts are anywhere from an hour and a half to 4 hours away so I pretty much go up whenever.

Yeah from what I'm told Hawaiians dont like Haole's lol but I have family out there I've never even met so I'm hoping theyre cool and get me in with the locals. I just hope they know a bunch of hot chicks and not a bunch of samoans haha.
