sorry one last time

ok please help...

if you were to connect new speakers to the exciting wires for the old speakers.. Would the quality b any different if you were to connect the speakers straight to the CD player?

thank you

Better the quality of wire, better the sound. My speaker wire costs $12 a metre. But you won't need to spend that much. Go for a reasonable thickness though, not the 1mm shit.

Wait are you talkin the pre outs? Or are they door speakers, that just have the like 3 inch wires comin out of the deck, your supposed to connect it to those cus most of the time the wire harness shit is internal but are they subs or door speakers.

6x9's I think.

Hopefully running off an amp.

Well your deck should have a bunch of wires coming out the back, and two sets for your front and rear speakers,(not your sub pre-outs) or little clip things, pretty much it has a wire harness. connect them to that, and yes hopefully you have an amp. But the only thing that could really make your speakers lose power when it comes to wires is, bad connection, or too small of a guage wire.

Ok

From the cd player are the original wires into the door speakers. I cut that wire so the door speakers didn’t work any more. I then connected the original door speaker wires to a new wire that runs to my 6x9.

The new wire I think is only 1mm.

If I would to get a new wire that ran from my 6x9 to the original wire (which I would connect them together) would that make the sound quality better?

If you run a new wire from Cd Unit to 6x9's that is off a larger thickness, you will get a better sound. If you are connecting to existing door speaker wires, then keep the same wire. New wire won't improve the sound.

You'd do best to run a set of RCA's from Pre-out on back of cd player into an amp in your boot. Then run a decent speaker wire from Amp to 6x9's. Takes more work, but gives you a better sound and also experience in car audio.

If I was putting a stereo in my car. I'd put mids and tweets in front doors and in back. Each speaker going through a crossover and into a 4 channel amp, connected to a decent stereo.

Then I'd run 2 10 inch subs. Connected to a bridged amp. in the boot. I'd sound deaden the whole car, and make sure I use high end equipment throughout. But that is just me.

Where did you cut the original wire, from the deck or where the speaker was. You should of just cut like an centimeter away from where they were connected to the speaker and connected them like that. Only because you are not using an amp. Wires and shit won't give you all kinds of sound quality, it will let you give them more power to run to the speaker, so if you want better sound quality get an amp.

ok thanks for the info... i think im gonna hav to get a amp... one more thing tho..

i was lookin at my speakers and only 1 of them really bouced (like move up and down loads) the other didnt really move much. is it meant to b that way?
Great idea on the first part.
But what do you mean "bouced" or even "move up and down loads." Are you talking the whole speaker not fitting right or the cone.

no the cone its self(i think) like it moves with the bass.... if u look at a speaker you can see that it is moving(not cos it doesnt fit, but because it is ment to) this is what makes the sound. turn up some speakers in your house (not computer ones, well mine dnt neway) but some fairly good ones and you can see it move

you get what i mean?

No he is talking about excursion and every speaker does it, wait til you get some subs and you'll be like WTF. But yeah both speakers should do it since they are putting out the same signal. Your wires might or something dumb like that, check your shit and if it still dont work i dont know.

Check your fade and shit even, all your power might be goin to one sise or vice versa, rookie mistake but you sound like one, no offense.

Edit: Balance instead.
