so i got fired today

and why did i get fired? because somebody snitched on me, and a few others. occasionally i work in the confectionary area, selling chocolates and all that... and ive built rapport with the lady that works there. she's around 30, good heart, and we're actually friends (or atleast i thoguht we were). anywho, the culture there is that sometimes we indulge in eating a couple of the chocolates.. not like taking bulk amounts but just a peice here and there. everybody does it.. and it's nothing malicious.

anyway, that lady decided to snitch on me and a few others about eating chocolates. everyone else thinks it's a trivial thing, and they dont really give a fuck about it because it's so minor and insignificant... Like for instance my actual manager once saw me eating one an he laughed with me about it. He just didnt care.

but this lady went and told the store manager, the loss prevention officer, and the deputy store manager. They interviewed me, fired me, then escorted me off the premises. I know it was her, for reasons which i cant be fucked explaining but I know it was her.

My question is, why the fuck would someone do this? Why go out of your way to snitch on your work mates? And by mate i dont just mean 'person whom you are forced to work with' - but somebody who is actually a friend of yours?

so now im jobless, and have the tag of "fired" under my name. all over a couple of chocolates. the fuck.

Thats why you should have become friends with the people that work for loss prevention. Shit when i used to work at Target i used to jack so much shit it's not even funny! My homie worked as loss prevention so he would give me the heads up whenever the main guy was around and shit but whenever it was just him, we would both come up on so much shit. But yea i know exactly wat you mean, in my experience it was the older ladies. They would be real cool with you, but behind your back they would try to get you in trouble. Only reason i could think as to why they do it is i guess to look good with the boss. But damn escorted off the property is too much for just a few pieces of chocolate. The lady probably spiced everything up and made it seem you were taking more than just a few chocolates.
