As the fall CD lineups line up, rapper Snoop Dogg is set to release his latest project this fall, too. The rapper’s next solo album, Blue Carpet Treatment, is scheduled to hit on October 17, flaunting some highly favorable guest artists, including Stevie Wonder, Brandy, R. Kelly, and The Game. Also, the disc’s lead single, "Vato," features B. Real of Cypress Hill and is produced by the Neptunes.

Plus, the buzz has been that Snoop has been in the studio with longtime friend Dr. Dre, but there’s no confirmed word on whether any of the duos' collabos will appear on this upcoming project. Still, the track listings are not yet final. According to Billboard, Snoop is perusing his library for the 16 or so songs of the 300 he’s recorded that will end up on the final product.

The Doggystyle/Geffen disc will be complimented with the DVD titled The Adventures of the Blue Carpet Treatment expected in November. The DVD will feature 10 animated videos for songs on the album and a few additional tracks. Industry insiders report that Snoop is in talks to feature the vids on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.

By the feats this cd sucks... Another wack album of the mainstream Snoop... Where's the old Snoop? This Snoop is so annoying...

Get a Goldie Loc cd, there r some worth Snoop feats.

The only good albums from Snoop after 1996 are his collaborations with Tha Eastsidaz. I still bump that! Also, there are some songs above the average on the 'Da Last Meal'. The rest is just mediocre which is shame for the artist of Snoop's format.

What you idiots fail to realise is that unlike most genres of music, hip hop changes everyday. There is no room for old school hip hop that Snoop is legendary for in todays hip hop culture. Its time to move on, like Snoop has.

If Doggystyle was released today it would still go to number 1. Obviously it wouldn't have the same impact, or sound as good. But it is far better than what he releases now.

You prefer "Drop it Like it's hot", to "Murder was the Case"?

No, my point was everyone is hating on Snoop because hes evolved his style of music to suit todays taste. Old school hip hop would not chart the same way as it did in the day.

It's not that he's changing. It's that he's shit. He can come good, he was great as a guest on 2001.

Agreed, but Doggystyle would still go to No.1.

I agree with you on the point of Doggystyle, but I don't believe he is shit. Remember he is old now.

no excuse age....Ghostface Killah is old, Nas is old by rap standards, Rakim was old when he spit hsi verse off the Watcher 2, Jay-Z.....all them rappers havent fallen off giants leaps in their age liek SNoop, although he will be better then a good portion of the game for years to come and songs like "Ups and DownS" off his last lp show he got it in him when he stops making bullshit music. Thats the problem, they lose their fire once they have conquered the mountain...someone needs to start beef with his ass to light that fire again.

Real talk. :thumb: 'Ups And Down' is real classic. It looks like misplaced on that album.
