Alright, honestly, the Knicks are a playoff team on paper, and they have the talent to win a first round series. I think it will end there, but who knows, maybe they can get lucky and reach the confrence finals. Look at their roster:

PG:
#3 Stephon Marbury
#4 Nate Robinson

SG:
#11 Jamal Crawford
#1 Penny Hardaway

SF:
#23 Quentin Richardson
#21 Trevor Ariza
#9 Matt Barnes

PF:
#7 Channing Frye
#13 Malik Rose
#2 Maurice Taylor
#42 David Lee

C:
#34 Eddy Curry
#31 Jerome James
#32 Antonio Davis
#45 Jackie Butler

I see 12 players that can contribute in one way or another. They say Frye and Robinson have been very, very impressive. Frye has been averaging over 11 points in just 18 minutes per game in the preseason. It won't be long before he is starting. Robinson has been turning heads with his mistake-free, gritty play.

Curry is proving to be a very nice acquisition, dominating the paint in the preseason games so far. He started out the other day's game versus Philly with 5 dunks. Jerome James should be a good defensive inside presence. He played very well in the playoffs last year for Seattle. Antonio Davis is another veteran guy who, along with Malik Rose, can hold down a locker room. They never get too high or too low and are good hustle-type players.

There is a rumor that the Blazers are looking to deal Darius Miles to the Knicks for Malik Rose and some other compensation (cash, draft pick, etc.) The Knicks do seem to have a lot of power forward-type players on their roster and could afford to give up Rose, but I don't think the trade will materialize because the Blazers are looking for expiring contracts.

Maurice Taylor hasn't lived up to the high expecations that people had for him coming out of Michigan, but he seems hungry and has fared well in the preseason. Larry Brown should be able to get more out of him than previous coaches.

Everyone knows about Marbury and Crawford, they should play well in Brown's system. Trevor Ariza is a young star with springs for legs and a motor that doesn't stop. Once he develops a consistent shot, watch out. Penny is still playing decently, when healthy. And Quentin Richardson had a good year last year for Phoenix, and hopefully he can carry that over into this year.

I am excited about our chances to perform well this year, especially with Larry Brown at the helm.:thumb:

probably be another experimental season...cant see them winning over 35 games...anyways i dont follow them as passionate as i used to since the dolans took over but make sure u pick this up to relive great Knicks moments...i will too!:p

not as good as many want them to be. Seriously, I don't believe in the knicks until the prove otherwise. I just saw the game today, it's a young squad - maybe they can reach the playoffs in the east but they'll play no major role afterwards anyway, so who cares. Many other teams are on another level, people have to realize that.

If Marbury Gets His Act Together, an can Co-exist With Larry Brown. They Defintely Make The Playoffs.

Ol Stephon Needs To Watch Piston Games From The Last 2 Years. an See That Larry Is An All Around Great Coach.

I Got The Knicks Winning The 3rd Seed In My Predictions

brown is still experimenting with the lineup, it will take time

i haven't given up hope just yet...it still is november for god's sake
