I really don't care if little kids made my shoes...I gotta say they are quit good at it...

LOL
yeah i dont care either. i just asked myself, "what can i really do about this?". and when i come to the conclusion that i can do nothing. then i pull out my bank card :thumb:

if i knew they were made in sweat shops i wouldnt buy it.. but its hard to tell these days whats made by who and where..

in the UK there is a sports store called Sweat Shop.. but i think its meant to do with Sweating and not the conditions their merchandise is made in :D

Well...the otherday i was searching for a football ball...(soccer) and it said on the ball "Not made by kids" ...was nice to read...Bought another ball instead...cuz the one that wasn't made in sweat shops wasn't the one i was searching for :)

I Dont Care Who Makes My Shoes or Clothes. But What Aint Right Is The Rich Guy Is Only Paying These People $2.00 A Day. An Then They Sell Them In the States For $100 To $150 Dollars.

Then You Got These Kids That Cant Afford It. Then They See Some Other Kid with A Pair Of Jordans. The Kid Gets A Bright Idea "(You Know I'll Take A Gun An Shoot Em For His Shoes)". Or Take a Knife An Stab The Person. These Innocent Kids Dying Because They Have Something Nice

It Just BS

Yeah I am the same. Really it is difficult, although not impossible, for us to check up on companies. The industry should be regulated and controlled externally, not by us little fellas, because even if one or two of us refuse to buy the shit in our stores, it is too late, it has already been imported - so in that sense the damage is already done. It is not made clear where and who sells alternatives to be able to boycott and start a social movement which is what it is going to take to change anything.

thats a good idea.. that also got me thinking about animal testing on products.. even though i think it has to be labeled as to if it has been used on animals (cosmetics) you dont know if the 'raw' ingredients used in those cosmetics have been tested somewhere further down the line.. where does it end?.. there are issues with medicines being tested on monkeys.. but you would rarley hear of people boycotting them because they have been... (sorry got a bit off topic there)

It makes me sad if I sit and think about it tbh but I obviously don't care enough as if its something I like I would still buy it anyhow. One person can't change the world alone.

Remove the sweat shops and the kids will either starve to death or turn to crime and prostitution. They should get paid more, have better conditions and be educated by those employing them, though.
