What would a whole essay about it contain? It's an obvious thing. Words at the beginning of a list are easiest to recall, followed by words at the end of a list. Words in the middle are hardest to recall. End of essay.
True, but maybe if it was vaguely interesting it might help.
Plus, it's simple as fuck. The average human can hold 7 items in short term memory. The serial position effect can only really be tested using inanimate items & then you've got the correct conclusion which Jokerman stated. That's basically it.

lol, I know the feeling, at school I hated people asking for my essays... it's not that difficult doing them, just sacrify a little of your free time, you'll get used to it when you start college
hahaha, I wonder if someone were to give him an essay, the beginning & end of which was completely logical, but that was filled with utter nonsense in the middle, if he would hand it in because his lazy couldn't be bothered to read it through.....
