I'm hitting it up at the end of the month for about 4 days. No particular reason other than my buddy suggested it and I'm always down to travel.

Any recommendations? I know Shadows is down in SD. From a quick google search, it looks like Gaslamp and Hillcrest are the nightlife spots. Gaslamp appears to be too Vegas-like so I'd have to pretty wasted to want to go clubbing. What about chilling on the beach?

would have recommended la jolla beaches. maybe even ocean beach and eating at Hodads.
as far as night life.


downtown (vegas like) is not too bad. Expensive, but the girls there are materialistic. u could get laid though.

pacific beach - easy to get laid. kick back. less of a party atmosphere. but only one race or two races are usually there. Whites and asians. or

north park. is a lot of races. Usually chill. and full of potheads n alcoholics. this is probably the scene i would picture most people in streethop in. the girls are hot.

depends what crowd you want, really. but you can have fun anywhere.

Downtown is for your birthday.

Pacific Beach is for a good weekend.

North Park is more for chilling any day of the week.

actually i rescheduled my trip cause that weekend had crazy storms and flooding down in san diego and i'm bout that sunshine. so i'm going in the next few weeks. Thanks for the recommendations, that makes sense. I'm not a downtown guy, more north park/pacific beach.
