Tha Dova.
Mom, Dad, Sister, and I watched my cat die last night on Christmas eve. He was acting real funny for the past week, not eating, not walking much, and peeing on the floor. He finally couldnt use the restroom so i figured his kidneys where shutting down. I petted him all night and I went up to my room for a minute and my mom starts yelling that he was making weird noices. He was taking his last breathe. It was the sadest thing ever. We all stood around him and petted him after he was gone and said our last good buys. Pets are really like part of the family. Just to think that I was eleven years old when we got him as a kitten is just crazy. He lived a long seventeen years. He was a soldier to live that long and he had a great life and family. RIP Baby we love ou and we will never forget you. :( :( :(

my cat's dying too...

I'm so going to make cat-kebabs with her when she dies.

Yeah, losing a cat sucks seriously...they're cute. RIP to your kitten :)

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your cat. It's such a sad time. Nothing can be said to take away your sorrow, but it helps to know others understand how you feel. I once lost a cat I had for seventeen years too. She was like a friend who would always be there when things got bad and I had no one else. She had such a distinct personality. It's been a while now but I'll never forget her.

Nothing will be the same without your cat. You just take comfort that your cat had a good life and a good family that cared for him and won't forget such a friend.

Are you coming then? asked Dog.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly

But don't they understand? asked Dog
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

Sorry to hear about that Lansky.. Yea, when a pet dies its pretty rough, almost as if it were a human. The only real pet I had was a rabbit when I was 10 or 11 and when he got old he started having seizures and hadnt eating for a few days so i knew it was his time to go. I loved him so much and as horrid as it sounds, I stood over him crying for about a half hour, put him in a pillow case, took him to my garage, and smashed his skull twice with a hammer hard as hell to put him out of his misery. Then I ran with the pillow case to my backyard and buried him in the pouring rain crying my eyes out and it was like 3am..

Funny, noone except my parents know this story.. Thought i'd share it to maybe make you feel better knowing that i feel your pain.

damn, thug life fo sho. I had a dog, she lived with us for 13 years..hurt real bad when we had to put her to sleep.

aw man, as a pet owner of a beautiful dog, i understand what your going through. they arent "like" part of the family, they are family. just like another person, they do nothing but bring joy to human lives so in fact, they are prob better than humans.

my condolences, RIP

awww. for having 2 dogs that died throughout my life, i feel your pain. it's hard, thosse pets are members of the family. R.I.P.

Awww man i feel for you Meyer :(

Pets do become part of the family. an its heartbreaking when they die.

I had to go through losing both of my cats when they died in 99. a mother and her daughter.

the daughter died in january. an the mom died in april similar to what your cat went through. it was sad for quite a while an someone told me just to remember the good times when they made you laugh. an i just started to think about when i sat at the dinner table how they'd entertain me and my parents with a floor show. they would do it for us every night. an thinking of that made me feel happy :)

My deepest sympathies go out to you my friend. :thumb:

I have two cats now, so I feel your pain. I've had three cats in the past who died, excluding the two now.

One died or ran away in the earthquake that happened in the early 90s in L.A.

Second one, I was young... and I don't even know why, but looking back at the symptoms... i'd say improper veterinary and nutritional care.

Third one, first kitten I got as a young adult but the kitten was too small. I was re-assured everything was alright. Once again, I was duped. The food being given to her was all wrong, she was taken from her mother too young, weak immunity, no veterinary care because their vet was a complete idiot who came once in a blue moon. So she died from what I later learned is described as fading kitten syndrome. I was frickin' devastated and so damn angry at her death. I had only for a week, so trust me... I feel your pain. But it's apart of life, I know my two cats now will meet the same fate as my three other cats... just as I will. But what you have to be proud of is that the fact that your cat lived for roughly 17 years which is above average to my knowledge.

R.I.P man, hope you feel better.

:( U saw it coming.. RIP it's terrible seeing them go thru death like that but it's gotta be comforting to them. My cat had something done to her one New Years when she came home she had a bloody mouth and bloodshot eyes and didnt look herself at all! :(
17 good years no doubt!
