i personally dont have a religion that im aware of, i dont particpate in anything religious, i mainly asking because im just curious
is there a category for people like me? Non believers etc...
is it unheard of?
frowned upon?
'Faith' what is faith? believing in believing?

I mean i dont want to sound arrogant or inconsiderate however how can we believe in something we have not seen? I mean i personally believe that you can achieve through having faith in yourself, does this count towards anything?
what is your religion?
and how does it effect you?

P.s this is just a inquiry, i know the this is words of wisdom not words of confusion, sorry if this has been posted before but i've never been in this section :(

If you believe in God/Gods but dont follow a religion its Agnostic, if you don't believe in any higher being its atheist.

I'm taoist/buddhist, but i'm don't really see the Gods as Gods, many of them were real people who are worshipped for their actions in the past.

Like Glock said, you sound like an atheist. Welcome to the club. I feel the same way about 'faith'.

if you believe in nothing your doomed. take my advice and become a Christian.
lol, thought you might pop in here with Bible in hand trying to save his soul. Can you not just accept that not everyone believes what you do? Obviously you think you're right, otherwise you wouldn't believe what you do, but don't try to push your beliefs on others.

i cant understand the variations in religions, there's alot right? there's got to be some contradiction with them right? religion has always been strange to me, because i dont know where i stand!

I'm a Muslim, Islam has a main theme and that is "there shall be no compulsion in religion" which means God would not and never will force anyone to believe in Him. if he did appear in front of us all, then the belief in him out of free will and the actions you will be judged on, on the day of judgement would have no purpose or meaning to them.

can u be an evolution believer and a Buddhist/Taoist at the same time? and since you're a Buddhist/Taoist do you worship these 'real people' you mentioned who were worshipped back than?

Why not? Many of the "Gods" were once real people, and people admire their actions. I don't "worship" them, do people worship Malcom X? They admire his actions and beliefs. An example of a taoist "god" is Guan Yu, hes regarded as the God of War but if you look back in history he was admired for his loyalty and bravery, and still is today.

^ well i got the idea from your earlier post when you said they worshipped these people and i figured since you are B/T i thought the basic belief behind Buddhism and taosim is worshipping these people, maybe you should have said they admired these people not worshipped them..and can u be an evolution believer and a Buddhist/Taoist at the same time?
