How close are the tupacboarders to your cousins, aunts, uncles?

Wondering, because all my reletives hate us and i don't really see them as family at all.

For most of my growing up, my situation was kinda like thug styles - my relatives didnt really like us or were preoccupied with their lives, so I never really had a chance to get close to them so as to consider them "family" - they were mostly just names in my head. Now that several of them have returned to my city, they are trying to play the happy family card, but I dunno - I like them and all, but it doesnt always feel genuine and some of them I doubt I will ever meet or reconnect with and thats fine.
 
I don't even know their names, i remember at a funeral once, everyone was coming up to me..i had no idea who they were, i had to keep asking my sister who's who.

The only person im close to is my cousin, mainly coz he looks upto me.

Lol, yeah that's happened to me as well. I was at a funeral a year or so ago and a lady, obviously a relative, who was quite upset came up to me and told me how happy and grateful she was that I had come.... I had to ask Dad on the way home who she was.... I had no idea. :(

LMAO, i know, i was just kidding.

Okay, let me actually answer the question to try and redeem myself here.

The only family I'm around is my nuclear family. Other relatives I never see unless it's a funeral or perhaps a wedding.

I think the rest of my family kind of view me and my parents as a bit stuck up just because most of my relatives are ghetto as all hell, and we're pretty much preppy suburbanites.

And I have alot of family in the islands still, and unfortunately, i don't have time to get out there and visit like I should :(
 
When I was younger I was close to most of my cousins on my mom's side but as we got older and went seperate ways, we're not so close anymore. I only associate with one uncle on my dad's side, the rest of em think they're better than everybody else and I don't care to be around them.
 
Well my mothers side of the family are cool, They all live around the globe. I can't be fucked with them because they're all the jealous type (the cousins are anyway)
My dads side on the other hand isn't so cool. See my dad had a shit loads of brothers and sisters, he was the youngest (he's 65 now). Anyway so that means i've got a SHIT LOAD of cousins, second cousins and third cousins. Most are around the globe. One of my uncles is like my cool uncle, Both of he's sons i get along with really well. One of my aunties and my dad have this massive beef going on that happened since they were kids, ever since they've hated each other. So they all hate my parents but they're cool with us, since they have nothing against us. I chill out with their kids and stuff and all is well. The others i either don't know, live too far or are just meh.
 
about 90% of my relatives all live in kentucky. i was an air force brat so i moved around most of my life. i only saw my relatives a few times a year. when i was real young we all got along then something happend when i was like 10 were none of us talked to each other when we got together. i dont even think they know my name.

i use to be pretty close with my moms sisters son who is the same age as me , but to give an example of how close we are now, a bunch of my moms family was getting together 2 years ago for xmas and my parents and i were in the same room talking and johnny my aunts son came in and introduced his girlfriend to my parents but completely ignored me. then my mom was like this is my son steve and johnny's dumb ass was like oh yea hehehe. dude has always been alittle bitch anyways. his mom is dumber than dog shit.

i guess after a while i just started to get tired of trying. i always told my mom that if i died no one on her side of the family would come to my funeral they would make some excuse or say who? i remember growing up my mom would always give gifts to all my cousins for xmas and their birthdays. i hated getting together for xmas with them cause they would all have gifts to open and no one would give me anything. i got use to it at a real young age. my mom would always bring my gifts up their so i would have something to open but it wasnt really that same.

then there is my dads side. i love my grandma and everything but she talks too damn much. gossips about her own grandchildren. when i was teenager i did some stupid shit, and i mean straight up dumb shit. she would make me out to be worse than i was and the relatives on my dads side started to look at me differently. but i try not to be mad or angry at their ignorance. they cant help that they dont know the whole truth.

i stopped looking at my relatives as family when i was a teenager. they are just relatives. thats all to me. i've gotten to know complete strangers and been welcomed by people i hardly know that dont judge me more than my so called family. life is weird like that i guess.

after writting all of that i remembered the couple of times my name was left off of xmas cards.
 
well i have a huge family as my mum is one of nine and my dad is one of four, so i have loads and loads of cousins, some of them i have never even met! I am close to quite a few of my relatives but then other's i am not, cos i hardly see them or have never met them
 
I used to love going over to see and play with my cousins and relatives, but all of them decided to move back to our home country when I was 4. Haven't seen any of them in a decade. As for my mother's side, I haven't even seen any of them so I suppose I never had a lot family love. Christmas and Chinese New Years never really meant anything when my relatives weren't there.
