This is one of those movies that the trailer really doesn't do any justice.

I first saw this trailer and I thought I wouldn't be interested. Last night my housemates suggested we go out and watch it. I was pretty much enthralled by the story and the special effects. I'm always blown away by the fact we can watch something computer generated and still have different emotions for something that doesn't even exist.

(I digress but: the cinema we went to had the movie in digital and not film format. I'm old fashioned, I like movies displayed on the projector through film. HD Cinema is cool, but I'd prefer that at home)

Anyone else watched this? I'd recommend it if you haven't already done so for the cinema experience. There were moments where the audience would all laugh and others where everyone was dead silent. Some parts, everyone had something stuck in their eyes during the emotional scenes. Its got a lot of themes to it as well which you can pick out as the story goes along.

Product placement is pretty overdone in this film (one was of x-box 720). They seem to have left room for a sequel, I think its fine just the way it is.

Now that you mention it, the plot is silly. However, somehow they just make it work in the movie and the whole concept remains within your suspension of disbelief. The ending keeps all things as they should be as well, which I thought was a good thing.

I also kept on thinking about Transformers as I watched it.
