Razr Vs. Sidekick II

Being that I have a Sidekick II, I'm just going to easily say the Sidekick. A year ago, these two phone were perhaps the most popular phone out. The Sidekick is a lot more expensive and was a preferred by celebrities which is why people wanted them and it became a fad. People still want Sidekick II's even though the III is out now, which I can't understand. I have had plenty of offers to buy my Sidekick II. I'll say that 2 years ago, people wanted the SKII because of what it offered, now it's just because the SK is the thing to have. There are a few phones now that offer more than what the SK offers. When I bought mine a 1 year and a half ago, the Razr was out, but I wanted this for sake of having one. However with the release of the SKIII, it shits on the Razr. The SKII is outdated now.

But let's do some comparisons anyway:

I prefer phones that have the QWERTY keyboard. I'll only get a PDA from now on, no regular phones like the Razr. I've heard complaints that the Razr's keypad is so flat that it makes text messaging a hassle.

The Razr has video. The SK does not.
The Razr is bluetooth capable. The SK is not.
The Razr camera is clearer.

But when it comes to the internet,.the razr can't even compete. The SK has a fully funtional browser and comes with AIM. You can download Yahoo MSGR for free.

The SK has it's own e-mail.

The downloadable programs and games are so much better on the Sidekick.

I think by getting either the Razr or the Sidekick II, you're going back in time. They are outdated technologies.

the way you said gettin a razr or sk is going back in time... some of us can't afford or just don't wanna waste money on a cell phone when i get a razr for 50 bucks with a new activation... all i need a phone for is taking pictures and talking on it... i don't need internet or xbox games on there... that new nokia 9300 or w/e number it is looks pretty tight but it's 1000 bones... fuck that shit man... i'm gettin a razr... u say it has clear pictures??? and i can put real ringtones on there from my computer?? maybe my own custom beats??? :thumb:

If you want a phone get something better than a Razr, personally I think they are shit compared to other phones out. If you want something totally different with so many extra features get a Sidekick III.

it will only demag the credit card if you have your cards right next to the phone.

dont put your phone and credit cards with in a few inches of each other and you have nothing to worry about. besides keys can demag a credit cards or anything with a magnetic strip.

I don't see the big deal about razr phones at all. People seem to want their phones as small (or thin) as possible. I mean yeah, I don't want my phone to be as big as a fucking cordless house phone, but come on now. It's like when pagers were the thing and them really small ones came out. People I knew got them and they weren't anything special.

I've wanted a sidekick forever. Since I seen the very first one. Not because anyone else had it, just because I liked it and it was something I wanted. It just so happens that everyone has them now. I was going to get a SideKick II, but I heard the SideKick III was coming out, so I never got it. Now that the SideKick III came out, I heard it wasn't much better than the SideKick II. And it's not like it's that fucking big, so people sound stupid to me when they complain about the size.

The phone I have now is the Nextel i870. When the phone came out not too long ago, it was $500. It's still one of the most expensive Nextel phones and it's a great phone in general. The only reason i'm thinking about getting rid of it is because Nextel service fucking blows. I heard it got better and that's why I gave it a chance. So it's either I get rid of it all together or I get a smaller plan with unlimited 2-way for it (I use it alot, plus for work) while I also get the SideKick III. If I do that, I might just get the SideKick III with the internet plan shit and just not use it as an actual phone right away.

i wanted the razr because it had a great speaker and just looks nice. i was really happy when i found out all of these mods you can do to it also and most of them are easy as hell to do
