i just read this about daylight savings

Some parts of the country don't observe daylight-saving time. These include Arizona, Hawaii, the part of Indiana in the Eastern time zone, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and American Samoa.

does this mean, for example that arizona goes to the pacific timezone or some shit durin daylight savings?
because wouldnt everybody be an extra hour ahead of em then usual

there are alot of places that don't observes day light savings. you ask an interesting question.
here is another one. what do they do when the time changes in 2007?

I was actually discussing this last week.

And Indiana has changed. Some of it observes ET daylight savings, and some observes CT.

Before, the Eastern parts didn't observe it, but the Western parts did. So in the summer when the clocks are supposed to go forward, Western Indiana would be on point with Eastern Indiana, which would be an hour behind the rest of the Eastern Time Zone. Amtrack trains would actually stop for an hour when traveling West through Indiana to keep on schedule (so I was told).

^ i changed it...i had gotten mixed up for a second in the direction in which the world turns :p

And Arizona doesn't go into the Pacific Time Zone. Technically it's still Mountain Time. It's just Standard Mountain Time rather than Daylight Savings Mountain Time.

But yes, it does have the same observed time as the Pacific coast during the daylight savings period.

I always wondered why some places observed it and some didn't but I never bothered to look it up til you asked that 2007 question lol I hadn't even heard about that yet.
But for those who wanna read about it:http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0907862.html
