Does anyone here enjoy reading poetry? I figured we could do something different here on Our Block and have people post poems that have touched them. If I get some feedback I'll post a couple of my favorites.

Since no one seems to want to post any poems, I'll try to jump start the thread with one of my favorite poems. It's ironic because the i got the book which i ead the poem in from an ex of mine, and the poem perfectly describes our relationship.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.

Write, for example, 'The night is starry
and the stars are blue and shiver in the distance.'

The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.

To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.

What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.

This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.

The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.

Another's. She will be another's. As she was before my kisses.
Her voice, her bright body. Her infinite eyes.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.

Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

Here's one of my favorites. It's called "A Car Smashed Into Me."

A car ran the stop sign and ran into my car.

I need a new fender, bumper, hood, and probably a door because i can't open my driver door anymore.

Anyways, this is my question. I know it's illegal not to have insurance on your car in the state of Illinois. It's also illegal i'm sure to print off fake insurance cards off the internet.

So this kid sticks around while we wait on the cops to come so we can fill out the police report (only because his axle was broke and he couldn't drive off) and we get everything taken care of.

Only to find out, once I call his insurance company that he gave fake information, fake policy number, etc.

So, what actions can I take, I know i'm going to have to use my own insurance to get my car fixed, but, i'm wondering, isn't there some other type of legal action I can pursue.

I have his VIN number, license plate, ID number, and year/make/model of car.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

This is a very good idea, and I have been thinking of doing this for a long time, just havent had the time to look into it yet, but now that there are people who have given interest to it I will try to make a sticky in there where people can share and discuss works of other poets and maybe even get some inspiration to write something themselves.

I hate it when people that never ever were seen in PJ talk shit. If I look at my part, every thread has a couple of replies, if I look at my recent poems, it says 200 hits per poem. How can you say there is no activity there? And how come you think you'll get more and better feedback in our block then in PJ? *shakes head*
